Founded by Ann Kelly, a graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design with a 25-year career spanning London, Osaka, and now Ireland, our studio transforms your meaningful places into a visual legacy. Personalise your palette. Choose from our original curated collection of specially handmade colours and textures. For a truly unique piece, contact us to discuss a completely bespoke colour scheme.

Add Your Personal Customisation

Make it unmistakably yours. Add custom location markers, names, special dates, a meaningful quote, or even integrate a company or club logo. This is where your personalised Heartmap comes to life.

Approve Your Unique Design

We craft your artwork with care. After creating your initial design, we’ll send you a digital proof for approval. We welcome your feedback to ensure every detail is perfect before fine art printing and optional framing.

Step 5

Choose Delivery or Local Pickup Receive your finished artwork. Once approved, we’ll carefully craft your piece. Choose convenient local pickup from one of our Wexford stockists, or we’ll arrange secure tracked delivery nationwide.

Step 1: The Messy Beginning 🎨
It all starts here in the Design Notions studio, making a big mess with purpose! Every Heartmap begins with handcrafted textures. This is where the unique, soulful feel is born—nothing AI about it.

Step 2: A Close-Up on Texture 🖌
This is what I`m after! Every brushstroke, drip, and blend holds emotion. Capturing this physical texture is crucial—it’s the foundational layer that makes your Heartmap feel alive and tactile, even as a print.

Step 3: Capturing the Craft 📸
From analogue to digital. I photograph every inch of my handmade textures to turn them into digital assets. This is the bridge between the physical world of paint and the digital world of design. 📸

Step 4: Designing with Grá ❤️
Now for the heart of it! At my design desk, I layer those captured textures with maps, typography, and years of design experience. This is where intention meets intuition, crafting the final layout that tells your story.

Step 5: The Magic of the Print 🖨
Watching the final piece come to life! I use a professional giclée printer with pigment ink and museum-quality paper. This ensures the colours are vibrant, the details of my textures are razor-sharp, and your print will last a lifetime.

Step 6: Precision & Presentation 🖼
The finishing touch. Your print arrives ready-to-display, mounted on a premium, acid-free card mount. It’s hinged to open like a card, perfect for writing a personal message inside. The mounted print can stand on its own or be placed into a standard frame.

Step 7: Packaged with Care 📦
The final step: protection and presentation. Each Heartmap is securely packed in signature Design Notions packaging, ready to be shipped to its new home. From my hands to your heart. 💌

✨ My 2025 in Full Colour ✨

What a year it’s been! I packed my prints and set off on a wonderful journey across the sunny south-east of Ireland with Design Notions, sharing my passion for craft and meeting the most incredible people.

I soaked up the creative buzz at the Ballymaloe Craft Fair, felt the sea breeze at the Duncannon Beach Craft Market, and revelled in the festive magic of Gifted Contemporary Craft & Design Fair at the RDS.

But the true highlight? That was you. Every conversation with a fellow crafter, every smile from a customer finding the perfect piece, every bit of support – you made my 2025 unforgettable. ❤️
